Days 1–30: lock the operating model
Confirm jurisdictions and approvals, target client segments, products, account structures, execution model, support hours, reporting requirements and launch capacity. Map the critical systems and identify external dependencies early.
Days 31–60: integrate and test
Connect the trading platform to CRM, client onboarding, payments, reporting, liquidity and communications. Validate identity and access controls, role separation, reconciliation, incident alerts, backup procedures and customer support workflows. Use a formal defect register rather than informal chat messages.
Days 61–90: rehearse and prove readiness
Run full operational simulations with realistic account scenarios and failure conditions. Confirm that monitoring reaches the right people, evidence is retained, escalation paths work and the rollback decision can be made by a named owner.
- Signed launch criteria
- Vendor contacts and escalation matrix
- Test evidence and reconciliation records
- Approved client communications
- Support scripts and knowledge base
- Backups, restore results and rollback plan
A launch date is a milestone, not a substitute for readiness. If a critical acceptance gate fails, move the date rather than silently weakening the control.
